Concerned about what Google’s AI answers say about you or your business? Start with the exact answer and its supporting sources. We assess inaccurate claims, mistaken identity, outdated information, and the next steps worth considering.
Two experiences to check
AI Overviews appear within some search results. AI Mode supports conversational questions and follow-ups. Save evidence from the experience where the issue occurs; the same query can produce different answers over time.
What to send
- The exact query or prompt and any follow-up context.
- The date, country/language, and whether it was AI Mode or an AI Overview.
- The inaccurate statement and the cited URLs, if shown.
- Reliable public evidence for the correction. Describe sensitive details rather than uploading them.
How we assess the problem
- Check whether the cited source actually makes the claim or the AI answer misstates it.
- Identify source corrections, publisher requests, or applicable search-removal routes.
- Use the answer’s feedback/reporting controls with a concise explanation.
- Improve accurate, clearly attributed information on pages you control.
- Recheck the agreed queries and sources through a documented monitoring process.
What we cannot promise
No provider controls Google’s generated answers. Reporting an error, editing a source, or removing a search result does not guarantee that a particular answer disappears or changes by a deadline. AI reputation work should be evaluated through documented actions and dated observations.
Keep monitoring separate from removal
A monitoring plan can sample agreed prompts and flag important changes. It does not continuously observe every possible answer. Define your monitoring coverage.
